About Me

Melanie Falcón (she/her) is a Latina Sound Designer based in Southern California. She holds an MFA in Sound Design from UC Irvine and a BA in Theatre Arts from Cal Poly Pomona, where she discovered her passion for sound design, performance, and puppetry.

With experience across various sound fields, Melanie has taken on roles as a designer, design assistant, and audio engineer for theatre, film, and podcasting. Her passion for sound is deeply rooted in her love for collaboration and fostering community. Whether she’s building immersive soundscapes or navigating intricate technical systems, her work reflects her dedication to storytelling through sound and discovering ways to ground even the most unconventional projects.

 

When Melanie isn’t designing she enjoys baking, supporting women’s sports, and honing her skills as an amateur puppeteer.
